The Wedding of Britney & Peter

Wedding Venue: Southeast Christian Church
Reception Venue: The Seelbach Hilton
Britney's Hair & Makeup: Applied Cosmetic Services/Anna Crane-Simpson

We love The Seelbach! On a frigid winter day, it was great having such a
lovely indoor setting in which to take pictures. Take a peek at Britney's
and Peter's wedding day...

The Wedding of Katherine & Eric

Our blog is short a few (dozen?) weddings from last year.  We like suspense.  Here is another from November.  It was a really great wedding!

Katherine & Eric were married at The Cathedral of the
Assumption. Their afternoon cocktail hour and evening reception took place
at the Henry Clay Building. We love shooting at both of their locations!
Here are some pictures from their day.

Kori & Jeremy Engagement

We photographed Kori's & Jeremy's engagement session at Bernheim Forest back in November. The cool thing about Bernheim is how different it looks throughout the year. The possibilities are endless there and it's well worth the short drive outside the city. We can't wait to shoot Kori's and Jeremy's wedding this October. We had a blast taking pictures of them at Bernheim!

Vintage Headshots!

Mae was looking for something a little different for her headshots and went
for a vintage 1940's look. I love it!!! Mae is an oboe player and composer
who recently moved to Los Angeles to further her career in film scoring. We
wish her well on her big move!

The Wedding of Emily & Tyler

Emily and Tyler saw each other before the wedding ceremony to take awesome pictures and have fun with the bridal party in and around the Brown Hotel in downtown Louisville, Kentucky.  It was a beautiful fall day, full of laughter, with all of the leaves at their most colorful making for a great backdrop.

Our Album Company Asked to Use Our Albums As Samples

One of our album companies had asked for permission to use two of our albums as sample albums at the Imaging USA expo in Nashville and Wedding & Portrait Photographers International Trade Show in Las Vegas.  Naturally, we said we'd think about it, and, of course, we had to wash our hair that day, etc.  But, in the end, we said okay.

It was really cool having our album company select TWO of our album designs as samples to sell their products to thousands of photographers at these shows.  So, congratulations to Amy & Jason and Devon & Bryan!  You guys are famous! In a very real... very casual... very low key... very trade show famous kind of way.  But we love you guys even if no asks for an autograph!

It feels great to be recognized for hard work, especially when you didn't ask for it.  Each of our wedding albums is custom designed and woven to tell the story of our client's wedding day.  We put a lot of thought and effort into each album.  When I tell other photographers how long I spend retouching an album, they look at me like I'm crazy.  But, as a professional retoucher, I know what it takes to make an album shine. I'm not fixing images.  There is nothing wrong with them.  I am polishing, enhancing, and making them the best they can be.  Making beautiful albums is what we do.  No, we don't print them and bind them ourselves; we leave that to the professional album companies.  But we focus our efforts on photographing and retouching to create a fantastic design that warmly displays the story of your wedding day.  That's why clients hire us.

Here are a couple of shots of our albums on the table at Imaging USA from my iPhone.

Bridal Show and DWF in Nashville

The bridal show was a lot of fun and we look forward to hearing from the great people we met! If you didn't make it out, and our interested in our work, then feel free to call us or email us and set up a consultation.  You can call Michelle right now at 502.727.1520.  If it's late, I don't mind if you wake her up    (don't tell her I told you that)

As soon as the bridal show ended, we had to pack up our show materials, go back to the studio and drop it off, and then leave directly for Nashville for the Imaging USA expo and the Digital Wedding Forum (DWF) Convention.  DWF sounds like a silly website or something, but it is actually one of the top resources for wedding and portrait photographers in the world.  We spent three days at seminars with some of the best wedding photographers alive. It was phenomenal.  Spending time with great photographers like Jerry Ghionis, Jim Garner, and Cliff Mautner was inspiring in many ways.  And there were several hundred other photographers from around the world there and we made a lot of great new friends.

Now it is back to photographing and producing great products for great clients!
